![]() ![]() It was undeniably the best warriors book ever released. ![]() My and my friend didn't have to debate anything. ![]() The buildup throughout this Shattered Sky was insane, it felt like Forest of Secrets where it keeps you asking questions, but it was way better because of what was already at stake, and then the ending came around and It held up all throughout, and it was more than clear that the quality of the story wasn't going down, and in fact, was rapidly increasing. Of course, expectations were high for book 3. It took the foundation it had in The Apprentice's Quest and took it to a new level, big things were happening already, and we were only in book two! It didn't feel like the modern warriors we had come to known, this felt like a new golden age of warriors books, a huge comeback from TPoT and OotS! There was no way anything could go wrong! We were debating whether it actually surpassed Forest of Secrets as our favorite warriors book of all time, because of the massive impact it left. I was very cautiously optimistic, but it all paid off. It was grounding itself in reality once more, we had interesting characters, fantastic development, a journey segment that was actually engaging for once, and the most unexpected ending.Īny excitement we had for the arc was fired up after that first book, and expectations were high when Thunder and Shadow released. It looked like the warriors series was getting back on track. Right away, we agreed after that first book that it was better than anything Omen of the Stars ever put out. Keep in mind we both haven't read Dawn of the Clans, so we were hopping right into this story from Omen of the Stars. How was this arc going to hold up in the long run? How were we going to look back on this arc, say, 2 arcs into the future? After that first book, The Apprentice's Quest, things were looking good. Me and my friend bought every book the moment they released and read them thoroughly and theorized together every time, but the best part was figuring out the quality of them compared to the other series. There was no being done with the series of course, and for a long time I read super editions and novellas every now and then, for some reason ignoring Dawn of the Clans, until A Vision of Shadows happened. I got into warriors back around 2013, and at some point in 2014, I had finished all 4 arcs. ![]() So, A Vision of Shadows was the first arc in the whole warriors series that I ever kept up with as the books released.
